The University of Michigan will host Michigan State in an outdoor hockey game at Michigan Stadium on Dec. 11, 2010, according to athletic-department officials.
The game must still be approved by the CCHA.
It's not the first time the two schools have met outdoors: on Oct. 6, 2001, the pair met at Spartan Stadium before 74,544 fans. It's a good bet the Wolverines would draw more than that to Michigan Stadium, which hosts 108,000.
Michigan will play two outdoor games in 2010: the Wolverines are slated to play the University of Wisconsin Badgers at Camp Randall Stadium on Feb. 6. |
